What Is A 'Carbon Footprint'?
We use the term 'carbon footprint' to describe the CO2 that we are responsible for releasing into the atmosphere as a result of our activities.
When defining our carbon footprint, it is important for us to clearly explain what activities are included.
As residents, our carbon footprint includes things like the energy we use within our homes; how we travel; the types of food we eat; how much waste we generate or recycle; and the things we buy from day to day.
