Carbon Management Plan
Since 2010, Gwynedd Council have been implementing their Carbon Management Plan, in order to reduce the impact it's activities has on our environment.
So far, the Council has managed to reduce its carbon footprint 30%, and saved £3.4m in revenue costs.
This has been achieved by implementing a variety of projects to reduce the need to use energy; to use energy more efficiently; and renewable energy. Further details on some of these projects are on the next page.
The next step is to further reduce our carbon footprint over the next few years.
A Low Carbon Council is the first step towards a Low Carbon Gwynedd
